Galway Carnmore Airport
Located just 6km from the City Centre, Galway Airport is ideally positioned, whether you are visiting on business or taking advantage of the uniqueness that is Galway and the West of Ireland.
The airport offers direct access to Galway City and county, as well as neighbouring counties Mayo, Roscommon, Clare and Limerick. Passengers can connect in London, Manchester, Edinburgh Birmingham and Glasgow from almost anywhere in the world to Galway and avoid having to face a long road or rail connection to their final destination in the West of Ireland.
Galway Airport is the fastest growing regional airport in Ireland and has doubled its passenger throughput since 1998. Currently there are five daily services to Dublin twice daily to London, and daily to Manchester, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Glasgow.
In recent years there has been a noticeable increase in the volume of private charters visiting Galway, Netjets being one of the more notable frequent visitors.
With over 22,000 traffic movements each year the airport is host to a vibrant general aviation community. Galway Flying Club is located on the airfield along with many privately owned aircraft. A helicopter training school is also located nearby.

Airport Facts
Galway Airport (IATA: GWY, ICAO: EICM) is located at Carnmore about 4 miles (6.5 km) from Galway city in Ireland and is managed by Corrib Airport Limited. The airport has doubled its passenger throughput since 1998 and is now approaching 200,000 each year. It has over 22,000 traffic movements each year.
Aer Arann launched a service to London Luton in September 2002 and to Manchester in June 2003 (over 25,000 pasengers used the service in its first year of operation). In December 2003 they launched a service to Edinburgh and in January 2004 announced a new service to Birmingham. Aer Arann announced a service to Lorient in France in May 2004, the first scheduled connection to Europe from Galway.
In March 2004 British Airways announced a Glasgow service through their franchise partner Loganair.
The only scheduled services are operated by Aer Arann and British Airways.
