Airport Facts

Baden Airpark (IATA airport code FKB) or officially Flughafen Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden is a German airport.

It is situated to the south of Karlsruhe and 15 km to the west of Baden-Baden in the state of Baden-Württemberg. As of 2004 it is the 2nd-largest airport in Baden-Württemberg (after Stuttgart Airport and the 19th-largest in Germany with 623,000 passengers per year.

History
Baden Airpark was a Canadian military airport from 1953 until 1993. The newly founded Baden Airpark GmbH took over the airport in 1995 and the first commercial flight took place on May 17, 1997 to Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
