Airport Facts
Introduction Located 11 kilometres southeast of Palma on the island of Mallorca, the airport is Spain's third-busiest, serving 20 million passengers per year. During the peak summer months Palma de Mallorca airport is Spain's busiest for international traffic (primarily from the UK and Germany), and operates around the clock. The terminal has four concourses: A, B, C and D.
Airport parking at Palma A covered car park has a capacity of 5,700 vehicles on six floors (long-term parking is on the sixth floor). The fourth floor has passenger travelators that connect to the terminal's departures area. Rates are €0.85 per hour, up to a day rate of €6.95.
Amenities at Palma Airport The terminal has several ATMs, a full-service bank (on the fourth-floor departures level), a post office and a currency exchange booth. A total of 19 cafe´s, bars and restaurants may be found at the airport, including several which are open 24 hours. Shops, both regular and duty-free, offer perfumes and cosmetics, wines and liquors, fashions, watches, souvenirs foodstuffs, and music and electronics. There is also a pharmacy and 24-hour first-aid station. Three VIP lounges offer television, telephone, self-service bar and free newspapers. Information desks are located in both the arrivals and departures areas of the terminal, as well as at check-in. Blue-jacketed customer service personnel are on hand to assist passengers on the second floor. There is also a tourist information desk on the ground floor.
