Stockholm Bromma Airport
This year, more than one million people are expected to choose to travel to and from Bromma Airport. With its close proximity to central Stockholm, Bromma offers fast air travel, both scheduled and private. The distance from the city to the airport and the waiting times at the airport are short. Given the airport's attractive location, environmental standards are extra tough. At Bromma, only aircraft that meet stringent environmental requirements with regard to emissions and noise are allowed to land.
Bromma Airport was inaugurated in 1936 and is a listed historical site.
It is, however, very much alive. Every year one million people choose to travel to and from Bromma Airport.

Airport Facts
Bromma is an airport in Stockholm, Sweden. It has the IATA airport code BMA and the ICAO airport code ESSB. It opened in 1936 and was the first airport in Europe to have paved runways. The advantage it has over the more modern Stockholm-Arlanda Airport is its proximity to the center of Stockholm. A renovation of the terminal building is underway (as of December 2003).
