Tuscany Florence Airport
Pisa, in the heart of Italy's western region of Tuscany, is most famous for its leaning tower. The town is also known for its beautiful Romanesque architecture and stunning plazas, as well as food and good living.

The airport is serviced by bus, train and taxi service. Buses depart from outside the airport terminal for the 15-minute trip to the town center, costing about €1. Train service to the town center is available, costing about €1. Taxis can be hailed outside the terminal, costing about €10.
Explore Pisa:
Visit the sights: Battistero, marble Baptistery with fine art exhibits; Camposanto (Cemetery) with fabulous frescos; Duomo, with its facade adorned with geometric and animal shapes is known for its famous pulpit, columned interior and Galileo's Lamp; and the famous Leaning Tower, leaning ever since it was built in the 12th century. Wander around the Piazza dei Cavalieri, a wonderful Renaissance plaza; Piazza dei Miracoli, one of the World's most dramatic and beautiful squares; or visit the L'Orto Botanico di Pisa, local botanical gardens. Explore the museums: Museo del'Opera del Duomo, the Cathedral's museum; and Museo Nazionale di San Matteo, housed in a former convent, exhibits Medieval art and sculpture. Finally, if you are here on 16th of June, enjoy the ambiance of Luminaria when candles light buildings in the old section of town and the town celebrates with evening fireworks.
