Departures
Airport departure lounge is located after Immigration. Facilities include a Duty Free shop, bar and a seating area. The "Akwaaba "lounge for first / business class passengers. State Protocol Lounge is for use by Senior Government Officials / Diplomats and VVIP's.

Arrivals
State Protocol Lounge again available for use by the previously mentioned personnel.

Postal Services
Located about 500 metres from the main terminal and provides services from 6am - 11pm: provide postal services, telegram remittances, local and international phone calls and philatelic services.

Public Telephones
There are several phone card telephone booths easily accessible in the main areas of the terminal. i.e. Arrival and Departure Lounges. Phone cards can be purchased from the Hotel Reservations Desk, Post Office and retail shops.

Travelers' Welfare
Personnel from Customer Service, easily identified by their tags, offer assistance to anyone at the airport who has a problem. Their offices are located just after the Immigration Booths in the Arrival Hall and a desk at the Departure Hall.

Security Checks
All baggage must pass through x-ray machines. When necessary hand searches of bags and passengers will be carried out. Security officers carry out random searches by hand of all passengers and in cases where passengers are using wheelchairs, since the metal construction of the chair will activate the machine. At all search areas, a private search may be requested for either persons or baggage.
Lost and Found Baggage / Property (General)

If left baggage is found, it is sent to Lost & Found Office, which has a desk located in the Arrivals Hall. It operates a 24hr service 7 days a week.

Passengers whose checked baggage is short landed should report to the Lost & Found desk.

Lost and Found (GCAA)
A Lost and Found office is also operated by the Customer Service Office of the GCAA. It handles various items including documents, personal possessions etc. that are misplaced and found at KIA. This is located at the Arrivals Hall.

Medical Services
First Aid kits are located at vantage points at the Terminal. For assistance, passengers should contact the Information Desk or Customer Service personnel on 1283 or 1289 respectively. The Airport Clinic is situated 500 metres from the terminal. Medical care and travel immunization services are provided 24hrs daily.

Police
A Police Post is located at the airport car park. The main airport Police Station is situated on the airport perimeter road about 1km from the terminal and is available on telephone 777592.

A - Z of Services at KIA

Airport Information and meeting points
KIA has an Information Desk run by GCAA, where the public can obtain information on flight departures and arrivals. The Arrivals Hall has an Information Desk as well as Customer Service Officer to deal with enquiries and give advice about the services and facilities at the airport. The Ghana Tourist Board Desk in the Arrivals Hall also provides tourist information to travellers.

Bureau de change
A bureau de change is located within the Arrivals Baggage Reclaim Hall for the smooth facilitation of foreign / local currency transactions.

Business facilities
A Business Centre operated by M & J services passengers and visitors at the Domestic Terminal. It provides telephone, fax, secretarial services and photocopying.
There are also public telephone booths, which accept Ghana Telecom or Westel phone cards for both domestic and international calls. These are located at several points at the Arrivals and Departures. Cards can be purchased from the Post Office and Retail Shops.

Eating and Drinking
There is a snack bar situated at the upper concourse of the departure terminal, next to the Duty Free shop.

Fast Track
Fast Track provides a priority route through the Airport Immigration for first and business class travellers for departures and arrivals.

Help Points
Passenger Help Points can be found at various Information Desks and Customer Service posts or office on Ext.1289. Porter services wheelchair assistance and other special needs can be provided.
