Ras Al-Khaimah Airport

Ras Al Khaimah International Airport was inaugurated in 1976 by His Highness Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah Emirate.

Since the inauguration, the airport has seen a rapid and continuous development to facilitate the passenger and cargo movement. The following are some of the recent projects that have been accomplished or in progress.

  • New Arrival Terminal with a cost of 5,000,000 Dirhams .
  • Installation of FIDS with a cost of 170,000 Dirhams.
  • Purchase of latest cargo equipment, container dollies and air starters (500 ppm) with a cost of 1,000,000 Dirham .
  • New Cargo hanger with an area of 600m2 with a cost of 250,000 Dirhams .
  • Landscaping by Clean deal with a cost of 700,000 Dirhams.
  • Renovation of VIP lounge with a cost of 250,000 Dirhams .
  • Expansion of the duty free area by Abella with a cost of 350,000 Dirhams.
  • Modernization of the Air Navigation equipment and runway lighting by Siemens with a cost of 14,000,000 Dirhams.
  • New transit terminal for transit passenger and hajj flights with a cost of 2m AED
